National Technical Committee 219 on Garments of Standardization Administration of China (hereafter refers to as NTCGSAC) is a technical organization which is engaged in the clothing standardization work of Chinese. It is entrusted under the leadership and management of China National Textile and Apparel Council by the administrative departments for standardization work under the State Council, and its secretariat is located in Shanghai Garment Institute. It is entrusted to undertake supervisory work of Chinese clothing standard by the higher authority, and has expositive right for the clothing standard.

    NTCGSAC 's prime task is:
    1st, Responsible to organize and establish Chinese clothing standard system, according to the principle of standard revision and establishment of Chinese guideline and the policy of using the international standard and the advanced standard overseas;
    2nd, Table a proposal of annual schedule which adapts to Chinese clothing standard system;
    3rd, In charge of the work of supervising Chinese clothing standard as well as establishing and revising the national clothing standards and the industrial standard;
    4th,Connect with China and the technical committee of International Standardization Organization ISO/TC 133, as well as carry on the voting of the reexamination of international standard and the technical document which is in the charge of TC 133 technical committee;
    5th, Provide the clothing examination sample and consultation corresponding to the domestic and foreign clothing standard for the clothing enterprise;
    6th, In charge of organizing clothing enterprise, market and departments of quality surveillance to carry on implementation of clothing standard. And guide the clothing enterprise to execute clothing standard correctly;
    7th, Help enterprise establish the enterprise standard. And provide consultation service of ISO 9000 and ISO14000 quality authentication system .
